Enhancing Access to Anti-poverty Schemes/Services Entitlements

As is well known, there is a plethora of government’s anti-poverty schemes/services for the rural poor who are entitled to them, but generally unable to access them. The situation is like ‘Water, water everywhere, not a drop to drink’. Accordingly, planned efforts have been made by helping people help themselves to enable the poor, especially women, STs, SCs, minorities, etc, to access them, viz, livelihoods (wage and self employment), health, education, sanitation, drinking water, housing, Mid Day Meal, Anganwadi Centre facilities, PDS, etc. with considerable improvement in their access. However, there are miles to go.
