Phase II of this project, covering Koksara Block in Kalahandi District (Odisha), with the sister organisation AFFORD as the project holder and lead role of AVARD’s professionals in its implementation, has significant achievements to its credit. For instance, alongside what has been done under the Women’s Technology Park discussed earlier, 671 SHGs have been formed with a membership of 7423, own savings of about Rs.6.1 million and Bank loans of about Rs.33.8 million through linkage. And the participants/beneficiaries have been predominantly the poorest ST, SC, minority and OBC women.
